Partition type

  • You can choose one of the following partition types:
    • Active - select this type if the partition will be used for data storing
    • Primary - select this type if you are planning to install an operating system to this partition
    • Logical - select this type if you want to install an operating system on this partition to boot at startup

    • Copying a partition in Windows 95/98/Me and assigning it a letter can change the order of letters assigned to other partitions. As a result, some shortcuts might stop working.
